Yet Another New Tron Banner, This One Starring Olivia Wilde

Disney better have about 40 more of these if they want to keep up this kind of promotional push between now and December 17th. Just the other day they handed over a new banner of Garrett Hedlund looking ready for a fight, and today they’ve dropped yet another, this time of Olivia Wilde looking about the same.

I think I’ve decided what makes these seem so awesome. It has to be the color palette, right? That glowing blue that’s been so prominent in the marketing with the occasional orange has just got to tickle the optical nerve the right way to make your brain go, “WHOA!” Whatever it is, these banners remain cool. Hopefully we’ll see some more light cycle stuff in the next batch since they’ve kind of exhausted the disk images.

The image was found across the pond at HeyUGuys along with this fancy new synopsis for the film, which you can find below the banner. Click on the image to head over to their site and see it in its highest resolution.

Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Oscar®- and Golden Globe®-winner JEFF BRIDGES), a man once known as the world’s leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the old Flynn’s Arcade—a signal that could only come from his father—he finds himself pulled into a digital world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe—a universe created by Kevin himself that has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons, landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.
